Spartan Sports today announced a massive festival for the North Sydney Council area including three full days of events to be held on 6,7, 8 February 2015 at North Sydney Oval.

The event will be staged with the support of North Sydney Council and will comprise activities including:

  • Huge food and wine festival
  • 10 k fun run
  • Black tie gala event
  • Massive music event with Guy Sebastian and friends
  • A mini rock eisteddford for all the local schools

Sporting knock out competitions in each of the following sports:

  • Cricket
  • Touch Rugby
  • Netball
  • Beach Volley Ball
  • Soccer
  • Basketball
  • A massive Fitness class

Spartan aims to raise $1 million for the following foundations:

  • Guy Sebastian Foundation
  • Natalie Cook Foundation
  • Australian cricket players Foundations Association

Phil Harte from Spartan Sports said, “We have put this together for a number of reasons including to inspire activity and sport in children’s lives and help overcome childhood obesity by making sport more accessible.”

“We are also organizing a celebrity cricket match as world cup cricket fever takes over Australia,” he said.

Today’s announcement came at North Sydney Oval, with North Sydney Mayor Jilly Gibson confirming Council’s support.

Spartan ambassadors Laura Geitz, Natalie Cook and Danielle Hart were on hand to chat with over 200 local school students, residents and media.
