Sporting goods company Spartan international are pleased to announce that Sri Lankan all-rounder Sripali Weerakkody has become the newest Spartan brand ambassador. Sripali breaks new ground as the first sub-continent women’s cricketer to join the Spartan family.

Sporting goods company Spartan international has a galaxy of stars as their brand ambassador and major investor. The likes of Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, Chris Gayle, Eoin Morgan, Mitchell Johnson, Andre Russell and Neil Wagner to name a few.
But now a female cricketer from Sri Lanka has joined the stable of stars. Her name is Sripali Weerakkody. Born in Aruppola near Kandy, all-rounder Sripali has played for her country since 2006. Adopted at a few months old, Sripali has worked hard in her life to reach the levels of excellence needed to represent her country. Her desire now is to inspire other women from humble beginnings in Sri Lanka and on the world stage in the role of ambassador for Spartan international.


Spartan Managing Director Kunal Sharma saw the potential and is now glad to see it all happen for Sripali.
Sripali Weerakkody has been an integral part of the Sri Lankan women’s cricket team for over 10 years playing 66 one day Internationals and 47 T20Is with the Sri Lankan record of most not outs 17 and 15 respectively.
