YOUNG and old poured into North Sydney this week to eat, play ball and groove with some of the country’s best musicians at the inaugural Leisure & Lifestyle Festival.
The three-day event, which raised money for The Sebastian Foundation, ran from Thursday to Saturday and drew more than 10,000 people to St Leonards Park and North Sydney Oval.
Guy Sebastian claimed victory over former international fast bowler Brett Lee in a celebrity 20/20 cricket match, which opened the festival on Thursday.
Things took a tasty and energetic turn for the crowds on Friday and Saturday with a food and wine festival, carnival rides, cricket skills clinics and a fun run.
World champion surfer Sally Fitzgibbons spent Friday afternoon playing beach volleyball with Olympic champions Natalie Cook and Kerri Pottharst, before all and sundry were allowed to take their shot in the inflatable arena.
